SWIG – UMN

In an effort to keep in touch with all of the awesome people who have finished their degrees at UMN, SWIG is organizing a ‘SWIG Alumni Network’.

The responses you provide will be printed and placed in a binder in addition to being electronically stored on SWIG’s wiki (only available to current SWIG members). This is a new project, so if you have any advice or suggestions, we would appreciate hearing from you!

We are hoping to lay the foundation for a network that will facilitate communication and improve institutional memory by having alumni information available to current graduate students. We would appreciate it if you could fill out the online form here:

The SWIG Awards committee has put this year’s nomination form for the annual SWIG advising award online!  The form can be accessed here.

SWIG-UMN held its second “social” event of the semester with “heels night out” in downtown! We headed out to The Imperial Room and danced around in our heels.  Enjoy the pictures!

SWIG-UMN’s newly inaugurated blog serves to further enhance our mission, providing a forum for the voices of women geographers at UMN.
